I've been playing with Candy! Nugget Candy that is!

I've been busy playing with candy and a tutorial this week! This cute little Nugget Box holds 2 rows of 5 Hershey Nuggets. I had purchased 2 large and 2 small empty wheel cartridges and filled them with my refills for my Encore Gold & Silver and labeled them with my P-Touch. So today I decided to use them on the Bayou Blue Paper to see the effect. I like the silver with the blue but had to add a little bit of Stickles on the words just for a little bling effect. In the next couple of days I will upload all the boxes I did plus some gift/ornament cards. My tutorial will be posted as soon as I get the ok from the website that will be posting it.

Simple Gold and Silver with Black

Simple Gold and Silver can have such an elegant impact. These were stamped with Gold and Silver Encore Ink on black paper and then embossed with Gold and Silver embossing powders from Stampin' Up. For the tree I used my "Bejeweler/EZ Gliter" to heat set Swarovski rhinestones I bought from Sue's Sparklers. These work great on T-Shirts too. The angel is from the Stampin' Up set Holy Triptych (Mini Catalog ends 11/30) The tree and saying are from the Stampin' Up set Wonderous Gift. P.S. Did anyone notice these are black cards on "Black Friday" he he...sorry had to do it!

Pumpkin Bread UMMMM Yummy!

I don't know about you but the holidays are all about baking & EATING!! So yesterday our cul-de-sac had a welcome home party for all the kids that are away at college that had come home for Thanksgiving! Complete with fire pit in the middle of the street! That was nice! This was the Pumpkin Friendship Bread that I made with Cream cheese frosting...um um good! I always make a tag/card to let people know what they are eating. (Floral gift tag stick stuck in the bread) So...A Chemistry with Paper stamps to the rescue, along with my Pazzles for the "bread" die cut. The stamp set Autumn Picking is perfect for me because I do alot of pumpkin and apple breads and pies. The lettering, pumpkin, and leaves came from this set! I did need a die cut for a loaf of bread so I designed one in my WinPC sign software for my Pazzles, cut it out, inked it a bit for dimension and "Viola" a tag! The cute loaf pans came from my local Tall Mouse and Michael's and they bake great!

Gingerbread Goodie Bag and Tag!

Isn't this a cute little Gingerbread Man! I used my Scor-Pal to make this 2-5-7-10 bag that I cut all but one flap for the fold over, and then edged with a corner rounder. I used Very Vanilla CS and my Color Spritzer tool from SU to splatter Creamy Caramel Pen ink as a background. Now for the stamps!! A Chemistry with Paper has these adorable new Christmas sets and this one is "Holiday Treats". The little guys are great for the edge and you can see exactly where to put them because the stamps are clear! It is hard to see but I used Liquid Applique for the icing and a clear Gelly Roll pen over the other lines to enhance them. The gift tag is matching with the little guys on the inside! Boy it's hard to type with a poodle in my lap that wants to help on the keyboard!

Lis & Kathy

Here is Lis's card from our contest and a picture of Lis and Kathy together. Great meeting girls!

Tag Punch Wreath

Our Stampin' Up group; Women in Ink met yesterday with Kathy Thorn one of our upline from Utah. Some of her downline supervisors and managers from our area came also. This was a new group to me. Wow, I am impressed with these people. Linda Jensen, her husband and some of her group were so nice. She seems to be quite the "Den Mother" . She and her husband run the business together and make quite a team. Enough said...
We had a shoe box swap and card contest. This was my entry. Here are some brief instructions that I layed on the table for people to make this card. I tied for 1st place with Lis Ljung (my up upline. Whoo Hoo!) I stamped and embossed the tags before hand for a touch of glitz and then gilded the edges with a gold pen for elegance. I will post a picture of Lis's card later.

Pretties Kit Stick Pin

For my meeting yesterday I decided to get into the holiday spirit and wear my new apron with a stick pin I made from the "Pretties Kit". I stamped (Ballet Blue Craft ink) and embossed the cute little sentiment from the "Punch Pals" set. Then I punched scalloped circles out of silver paper that I had stamped on (my scallop punch died right after this project too) Then I stamped (Real Red Craft ink) and embossed the same stamp punching with a circle punch. The center punched circle was then edged with a glue pen and dipped in glitter. I popped out one of the rhinestones from the "Fire & Ice" rhinestone brads. All this was layered with dimensionals. Flat back pearls from the "Pretties Kit" were then glued on. Glue the hat pin from the "Pretties Kit" on the back of the scallop circle, add dimensionals and the put another punched scallop circle on as the back.

Stamp Sets Before and After Organization

I finally downloaded the pictures of what 70 stamp sets looked like before organization and after. I took all of my new Stampin' Up sets and mounted them with either EZ mount thin or regular EZ mount. 3 notebooks later they take up a whole lot less room! Also I prefer the acrylic blocks for accuracy. They are organized by the current catalog and page. I take the sheet that came with the set and use a repositionable adhesive to attach it to the opposite page (just a sheet of printer paper) for identification and marking what page they are on. Sets with tiny stamps I have used a large Ziplock with 3 holes punched and then I slide the storage cling sheet into the Ziplock, then if any tiny stamps feel like falling out they are cantained in the Ziplock bag. You can click on the picture to get a larger view if you need a better visual.

To answer a few peoples questions: YES! This does take a while to do! Be patient. I would say about 2 - 5 min longer per set. You have to cut out first then lay on EZ Thin. Or even remove the whole cushion it came on (carefully!!) and then use EZ Mount regular. I love my SU stamps their rubber is superb BUT I do not love wood mounts for the amount of room they take up. I have been stamping for about 20 years...does that give you an idea of how many stamps I own.....I also own a significant amount of Judith & Heather stamps too and that is alot of wood.!!
Please E-mail me and I will guide you to a good deal on EZ Mount thin and thick HotPaws@aol.com

Kimono Card

I designed this card and designed the doublesided paper to be cut on my Pazzles Pro cutter (www.pazzles.com). Both sides of the Kimono open up. But this one I decided to put a solid Obi around the middle so it would not open up. The tag pushes into the middle neck portion . All you see when pushed in is the top of the tag "neck portion" and the ribbon that is tied to the eyelet at the top so the receiver will pull on the ribbon to reveal the sentiment.

Santa Baby

Here comes Santa Claus..Here comes Santa Claus..Sing it Santa Baby. This Scrapbook page was done mostly with my Pazzles Pro cutting machine. Besides the pictures and the Pazzles, I used Stickles on the tree, Crystal Lacquer on the word die cuts and my pen tool to outline the words "Christmas Time". A little ribbon and some brads from the www.eyeletoutlet.com/ and I am done. If you look really close you can see small green dots at every inch on the background vellum. My Pazzles and the pen tool made a very simple background paper without overwhelming the pictures. 59 days till Christmas! Get to work people!
