Monday morning left at 6:30am and landed in Filmore, Utah, another 6 hours lots of up hill too.....Ok today left Filmore to Salt Lake City, Only 3 hours this time. The average driver can make it in around 10 hours in a car.

Swap #6 Done!!!

This card was inspired by Dawn and her great video, If you have not checked out her site it really is fun. I love the Polka Dot Background Stamp ( yeah not retired!!), Other stamps: Everything Baby and Fun & Fast Notes. Inks: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Black, Baja Breeze. Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose. 1/4 in hole punch, 1 in hole punch, Any Scallop punch will work. Ribbon: Light Pink Gingham. This was the swap I came up with when I was told our Women in Ink group was swapping at our dinner at the Olive Garden. I thought "oh my another 30 cards"...I'm tired...Then I made 60 of them cuz they were so cute and I thought some women are going to have full cards like this to swap also. Ok I'm done for a while...I will be posting from convention if my wireless card and wifi is cooperating. Bye for now!! Wish me a safe driving Motorhome trip to Utah and back!!!!

Swap #5 I've been playing with Shrinky Dinks again!!

Shrinky Dinks were such a fun part of my life growing up...Have I really grown up??? That's debatable. Well now I am really having fun with them. This is Swap #5 for Convention 08. Notice how big they are to begin with....Then how small they are after!! I stamped with Ruby Red and Certainly Celery Classic Ink. Then aquapainted in with Cameo Coral. For stamping I made myself an acetate mask for the flowers so I could stamp the leaves but still see the flowers underneath.

These are the finished product on their swap card. The original size of the leaves is the background on the cards. I think these will be a
popular swap... I hope!. This was my most fun Swap to do!! Added note I heat my Shrinky Dinks in the oven with parchment paper over them...be careful not to burn use a lower tem like 300. I scorched a batch.

Bless Our Country

This is a vinyl cut out that I layered on a window cling. This was done for the 4th of July but have not had time to post it. This will be a Free File when I get back from convention. I love cutting Vinyl. It has some many uses.

Baby Bib Cards and Overlay!

This is a design I did for the Pazzles Design Team. Whoo Hoo they liked it. So it will be coming out on one of their new CD's sometime in the future. So I thought I would give you a preview. Aren't they cute! They are little baby bib cards. Wouldn't these be adorable for a baby shower or baby announcement. I had to use those little tiny button brads and the teeny tiny white brads to finish it off! Also I was looking at the new Summer Pazzles 2008 catalog and not 1 but 2 of my designs are on their first page!! Yeah!! Sorry had to toot my horn a little! This one below is an overlay I created and I will be offering this file when I get back from the Stampin' Up convention. If you would like this file email me please

Another tile type for swap #4

Oops a bit blurry! This one is Embossed and colored in with the aquapainter and Real Red Ink. I heat set all of these and then sprayed with Krylon Matte Acrylic to seal them.

Swap Card # 3 Oh yeah I'm getting there!!

Here we go Swap share #3 and counting!! This card was fun but quite a bit of piecing together with the old 2 way glue. The original idea came from Sue Duffy a few weeks back. This new Bella Rose paper really lends itself quite nicely to a quilt design like this. The triangles are a 1 3/8 Sq. Punch cut diagonal. The circles are the 1 1/4 and 1 inch punches. The red background is 4 1/8 x 4 1/8. I took this piece and used my Scor-Pal to mark where my "squares" were going to be. This helped greatly with placement of the pieces. The center is up on Dimensionals. The new In Colors 08 that I used were Pirouette Pink, Kiwi Kiss, and Riding Hood Red...same for the inks.

Muffin The Helper!!

This is my helper: Muffin! She is helping me aqua-paint some tile magnets I am making to swap. She really wanted in my lap....so there she is. I had the camara on the newly cleaned area and just used the remote to snap the picture. This is the cleanest this table has been in 2 weeks. What a mess making a bunch of swaps! I had left myself about 1 inch left to put anything on!! I know some of you know what I mean about MESS!!

2nd Convention 08 Card Swap : Kind Thoughts

This elegant & simple card was originally done for a Demo meeting that was lacking in attendence so I made a few more and now it will be a Convention 08 swap. I stamped in Craft White and Craft Black and embossed with clear powder. The center is the stamp from the Kind Thoughts set BUT.......I used.....Shrinky Dinks . The inkjet kind. After we did our little swap, I was packing up my stuff and hear in unison about 3 gals yell out my name...Sue Reynolds.....I turn around in surprise .... WHAT? They all asked what did I use in the center. 2 of the older gals guessed it right and a couple of the younger ones had not seen shrink plastic before . (I am older....52 not to offend anyone!) I stamped the image with regular SU Classic Dye ink and let it dry (You can use STAZ ON Too.) Punched out the image with the scallop punch. Then I punched a hole in the center (1/4 in punch) to feed a brad through later. The cardstock is SU silver to match the silver brad. Michael's does carry the Inkjet Shrinky Dinks in the stamping section along with the Rough and Ready Shrinky Dinks, but I prefer the white ink jet type. I am in the process of finishing up another Convention 08 swap, using Shrinky Dinks. This next one will be a popular 3D type swap item....I think.

PS Note: I personally do not like the GRAFIX version of the Shrink Plastic you do not get a consistant finished product.

Card Holder Booklet

This great Card holder was inspired by Patty of http://www.pattystamps.com/ . I changed it just a little bit. I personally do not like the BIA/ Bind It All for me, I have used comb and spiral binding for years. Spiral binding offers such fun colors (Yeah Yeah I used white for this one...Boring) from Pinks to Browns.......lots of colors. I also bind my catalogs with it too. Back to this great card holder........I utilized the big pockets by punching a half circle on the top of one side and glued the bottoms together to create a pouch for additional lists of envelopes.
I love this paper too. I took the mottled green side and glued it to some thick cardboard then cut it with some Sizzix's Alphabet Original Dies ( The thicker ones) to get my letters. Used the Signo White pen for the white dashes of the letters to match the ribbons tied to the spiral. I happened to find a brown ribbon with dashed white lines that matched SU's ribbons and paper perfectly. Created another booklet with the Summer Picnic too... Not as cute as the Afternoon Tea Paper but still cute.

Etched Glass with Vinyl Stencil

These glasses were created using my Pazzles cutting machine. I cut out a Vinyl reverse stencil and used Armour Etch to etch the glass. Since this was a project for Pazzles I decided to use their Logo on the glasses. I purchased the glasses at Big Lots so they are sturdier and not so delicate. They came out great! Good Idea for Christmas gifts. I started practicing with any jar I could find...Like a mayo jar, Snapple drink..... Any glass with a fairly flat side.

Yes I have been gone! But I'm Back and I have been baking....paper cupcakes that is!! Swaps for Convention 08

Baking Paper cupcakes!! This is my assembly line of cupcakes. The were made with the new "IN COLORS 08" Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze and Pacific Blue. The Stamp Set is "Party Hearty". The frosting was created with "Tulip Puffy Fabric Paint" The chocolate frosting was mixed with Chocolate Chip Re-Inker!! Ummmm Yummy!! The cupcakes were then sprinkled with either the Red or Silver Bead Duo or the Cosmo Blue Glitter and of course a pinch of Dazzling Diamonds. For my swaps I am making approximately 20 to 25 each of different items. Then I do not get bored and I will have 100+ different multiply items to swap.
IRL (In real life) this card is really full of Bling and glitter. Papers were the new IN COLORS 08. Love the new Scallop Edge Punch that is debuting in August!! The dots were created with the best white pen around: The Signo white pen!!
