Bikini Top inspired by the Sassy Susie Stamp Set!

Here is an adorable card I made for a Stampin' Up meeting when Kathy Thorn came out from Utah again to see her downline...us! I used the Scallop punch for the Bikini top with Summer Picnic DS Paper. I used my Scor-Pal to put a perfect score between 5 scallops. Then I used a hole punch on the fold over to make it "lacy". The straps are from the Word Window punch. Topping it off with a red Gingham Ribbon. The texture on the Brilliant Blue cardstock is from the new Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. Summer is coming! I will be posting another variation next time that turned out cute too! Stay tuned for a cute flip flop (as in thongs) card coming in the next few days!

I won! I won! I Won Design of the Month at Pazzles!

Some of you know I am a design team member for Pazzles. Ok we are not supposed to post any of our pictures of our creations until they have been submitted and picked by Pazzles. The designs are now Pazzles property! Well now I can post some of the things I have been working on. And I will start with my DESIGN OF THE MONTH winner!! I draw all my own things for my Pazzles creations and rarely use Clip Art. This last month we were supposed to use some of the great designs on an upcoming CD that will be released soon. This is what I came up with. The Cinderella, Pumpkin Chariot and flat Castle in the back all came from this new CD. I created the 3D castle for this layout to utilize these new designs. I love doing 3D things. This must have been my inner Barbie doll coming out when I designed this one. The paper is from the new "2 Scoops" collection from Basic Grey. For my 3D castle I cut out little rectangles to make the brick appearance. Just using Creamy Caramel Stampin' Up ink through the brick stencil. The cute little Pumpkin Chariot Invitation was originally a silhouette that I drew a pumpkin and lines to make the front of the card. The inside of the card was done with the pen tool and one of the PZ max fonts offered by Pazzles.

Microsoft Clip Art by Allison Fillo and How to use with your Pazzles

For all you Pazzles Clip Art junkies I found a great new tutorial about Microsoft Clip Art (WMF) on this wonderful blog! http://stampinwhenican.blogspot.com/ . And here is the PDF file of her informative tutorial. Now I will add a little bit extra of how to get that image in WMF/Windows Meta file into your Pazzles software. Once I have the WMF file just the way I want it, I copy the file and paste it into my Adobe Illustrator CS2. Then resave as an AI version 8 file. Then I open my Pazzles software and IMPORT an AI file. It comes in perfectly.

Another way to use that WMF file you created with Allison's tutorial is to just print the Clip Art and then acquire/scan it into your Pazzles software to vectorize or trace. Here is a picture of a couple of clip arts I did this morning.

If you like them just click the following link:WPC file to download into your Pazzles software. Let me know if this does not work for you and I will send the file to you.
Happy Stamping and Cutting!

The New to me Kern River Vacation House

This is my last post for about a week till I come home and make a bunch of cards and craft goodies to post!! Take a look at the new bubbleshare on the right sidebar to see what I have been up to since I have not been crafting up a storm. I purchased a new to me Kern River Vacation House! 5 walking minutes to trout fishing and 2 minutes to fresh coffee in a quaint little town with nice people. I have been looking for about a year to buy an investment something and was really looking for rental property down by me. But when you think about it; why pay $475 a month to someone else, for me to have a trailer in a campground that I am no longer in love with. When I first bought my cute park model trailer up at Camp James on the Kern River, the campground/mobilehome park was quaint and full of interesting people and older classic trailers and lots of trees with stories to tell. Very Eclectic and fun. There were about 40 people that had trailers up there that were vacationers or that lived there. The area in front more on the river was for campers and RV's. All of us weekenders knew each other and had BBQ's and "cocktail hours". Now the new owner has pretty much "cleaned" up the place. Or shall I put it this way....Out of about 40 there are about 4 of us left. The rent went up about $150 for some of us. Now it is not eclectic anymore and I know 1 permenent person there. It is still zoned as a mobilehome park but her new rules are no one LIVES there only weekenders or vacationers with RV's or non-permenent trailers. Don't get me wrong its very clean alright more like sterile, the owner wanted uniformity, she got it. Along with that big rent increase came alot of empty spots that are not collecting any money. Some money in the summer but not a dime in the winter. My trailer is cute with a little fence and a couple of trees (less now that she cut a few down) I have a little picket fence with a great fireplace and squirrels and Raccoons. But the big BUT is.... it is not what I originally fell in love with sooooo....move on. It does not help that the owner and I are like oil and water and then add strong willed female to the mix. Sadly it will be time to say goodbye to my cute little trailer soon when the work is done on my New to me Vacation Home!! Here are some pic's of the trailer when I bought it.

Bon Jovi Rocks

Daughtry opened for Bon Jovi tonight. Here he came out to sing with Bon Jovi...Not a bad looking trio of men.... Although I prefer hair on the head. Speaking of hair....
The blond keyboard player is David Bryan....he looked & sounded pretty good too!

Isn't he cute!!! Bon Jovi Rocks.....This was taken with my Panasonic Lumix 10x optical zoom. I hope you all can view this. Having good seats helps. The older I get the more I am spoiled by good CLOSE UP FRONT concert tickets. And at $132.oo face value they better be good. I know this is not crafting related but please enjoy in my endulgence. I've got great video of the Moody Blues and Toby Keith....should I post those?Look at how he smiles at the crowd. He knows how to work an audience
